I was thinking about making Day 5 just an update on myself and then realised that I am in fact very boring and nothing has changed in my life. I still suck at Chemistry. However, I did have six inches of hair cut off my head last night. Interesting fact for all of you out there, eh?
Anyway the Dog vs Cat debate is an interesting debate and one I feel should be debated more often because although I should be interested in jobs and pensions I'm 15 and really, really can't be bothered to be depressed by the fact that pensions suck. But dogs vs cats is interesting! Because I think it really is about a 50/50 split through the world.
Puppies and kittens are both so cute and adorable that I couldn't possibly make a distinction. I love them both.
But when we reach dogs and cats and they grow up I start leaning towards the dog. I see the benefits of cats I really, really do! (Really, really.) There easy to feed, they look after themselves, no need for walking. But the thing I like about dogs is there dependency and loyalty toward the owner. I feel that dogs come and greet people and just in general look more friendly. That's not to say that I don't like cats. I like how a cat can sit on your lap for hours and hours and be stroked while a dog is constantly jumping about and wanting to be fed/ walked/ given attention to.
Here's the other thing- I love old animals. Ones that just sit there and let's you stroke them for hours and don't move around too much. This is where cats start to pick up again. They are brilliant old animals. Maybe better than dogs?
So I think dogs just have the win for me. I'm so sorry to the cat lovers, I still like cats a whole lot, it's just I've always been a dog owner and my dogs downstairs (Samson and Zak) may get a bit angry if they think I'm joining the other side. I just have a lot of loyalty there.
So do you prefer dogs or cats? You can sit on the fence if you want but lets be honest, that's less fun for everyone involved. Do you have a specific breed of cat/dog that you like? Let me know in the comments!
Love, Izzy xxxx
PS I am so bad at Chemistry it hurts my brain to even think about polymerisation. I suck. Anyone want to help me out? When I say that, I mean do my test for me, not re-explaining it to me. Teachers have tried that one.

I love cats and dogs!
ReplyDeleteHaaaaazel, sitting on the fence. Though- I have to agree with you overall! x
DeleteOh, polymerisation. The true hell of all hells. I hate chemistry. Maybe because I don't pay attention. You know, I've found that not paying attention and not knowing anything is better than paying attention and still not knowing anything. At least there's an explanation for not knowing anything. That's my personal experience in chem, anyways. :|
ReplyDeleteI don't listen the whole year and then try and get my Dad to explain to me what's been going on. He doesn't understand how I can't "get" the advantages and disadvantages of crude oil.
DeleteWoohoo! I suck at Chemistry all the time! It makes me want to sit in a corner, crying and hugging my brain. (I don't even know what the heck polymerisation is.) Only two more months of it, though!
ReplyDeleteBut, yeah, I'm a dog person 100%.
You are lucky. Rub my face in your no chemistry stuff soon.
DeleteDogsdogsdogs, yeah!
I personally prefer dogs. The thing I like most about them is their loyalty. It's great to know that there is a friend waiting for you at home everyday after school. However, it depends on each individual to decide whether he likes cats or dogs.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the dogs. The personal choice thing is sort of why I find it so interesting. Because people have such different ideas.
DeleteDogs all the way!
ReplyDeleteOh. Chemistry. See…..well….. my main goal in life right now is to pass Organic Chemstry 2. I feel your pain. So much.
Dogs seem to be winning in my comments at the moment!
DeleteMy main goal in life is to be able to quit Chemistry and never see it again. Ever.
